"Taken" Chapter Two

Chapter Two

She must have dozed off; she blinked the blurriness her sleep had brought with it away. Something was different in the room. Another letter was lying on the counter.
I know this is hard for you to understand, but I’m sure you will adjust eventually and maybe even grow to like it here. Please relax and clean up. You have my word you will not be bothered. When you are ready I will show you to your room. I have gathered some clothes for you and you can get dressed in there. Afterward I will have dinner waiting on you. I know you must be starved.
She was confused, why is he doing this? Who is He? Dozens of questions were running through her mind. Her stomach grumbled at the mere mention of food, she was starving and so thirsty. She would clean up she decided. The sooner she did the sooner she would find out who this man was and what he wanted with her.
She started running the bathwater and then slowly started to undress, halfway expecting him to burst in on her. When she finished she walked over and stepped into the tub. The water felt so good on her sore body. Her arms were still aching from being tied behind her for so long and her whole body was tense from her little nap on the tile floor. She let down her long brown hair and washed and conditioned it, and then she moved on to her body. As she lathered up she wondered why he had chosen her. She wasn’t special. She didn’t even really find herself attractive. She had always been a little self conscious. On the short side with big breasts and hips she just wasn’t the tall skinny woman most guys went after. Previous boyfriends had called her “Thick”. She hated the term. When she finished bathing she brushed her teeth and carefully applied the lotion. It calmed her to smell the familiar scent in this strange place. As she finished she snuggled up in the fluffy robe she had found in the closet and pulled the sash tight around her.
She was beginning to wonder if he would do as he said and come to show her to her room when the door creaked open. There he was, the man who had taken her. He was tall, maybe a little over six feet and very broad. He wore just a black t-shirt and blue jeans. The mask stood out the most though, just a plain flat black mask. She could make out his piercing green eyes and full lips and a part of her was aroused by his mystic.
“I’m sorry about your wrists, do they hurt much”
“No” She said sharply
“Please follow me your room is this way and don’t bother trying to run. There isn’t anywhere to go, and you would just be making things harder for yourself.”
She didn’t know why but she believed him. Maybe it was his firm confident tone of voice or his large stature but as stubborn as she was she didn’t want to find out. She continued to followed him down the hallway and into a bedroom. It was gorgeous; everything in it was white except the dark espresso colored furniture. Then she noticed the pictures, her parents, her friends, he had taken them from her home. Before she could speak he cut her off.
“I brought some things for you….. To make it more comfortable for you here”
“I don’t want to be here”
“You will.”
He left the room abruptly, closing the door behind him. She heard his footsteps going back down the hall. She realized too late that he had not shown her where her clothes were and started looking around. The closet was large and she realized that almost everything in it belonged to her. She moved to the dresser, it was all there, all of her things. He had been to her home. He had hunted her. Panic coursed through her veins and she raced to get dressed. She put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. It felt good to be in her clothes to feel a little bit of control over at least one thing in this strange place.
“Control he gave you.” She said aloud to her self.

My First Story "Taken" Chapter One

Chapter One

She woke up in the dark. She felt something rough against her face and as she tried to reach to feel for it she realized her hands were bound. Her muscles ached as she tried to mover her hands. As panic started to set in she was trying to remember something anything. The park… She was running at the park.

She always went running at the park. It was her way to distress after a long day. She loved running in the afternoon air, the rhythm of her feet on the path drowning out the world letting her get away from it all, but how did she get here? She tried to figure out where she was but with her face and eyes covered all she could see was darkness and all she could feel was a cold hard floor beneath her. It was cool in the room and she was getting goose bumps on her arms from the chill. Thoughts were frantically running through her mind as possibilities of why she was tied up in this strange place. She was working herself into a panic as different scenarios played out in her head. She started to pull out her bindings frantically, but her arms were so sore from being tied behind her that every movement sent sharp pains through her body. She shoved her feet, trying to move to get the weight off her arms and twisted violently on to her stomach, hitting her face on the concrete. Her arms felt better but she couldn't really move without scraping her face against the hard floor.

As she lay there trying to figure out how to get free suddenly there was light, she could only make out a dark hood around her face. Then there were footsteps heading towards her and she tried moving away but couldn’t. She felt a firm grip on her arm.

“You weren’t supposed to wake up this soon.”

She felt a sharp prick in her arm and then everything went dark. When she woke she was blinded by light. A quick survey of her surroundings left her puzzled, she was in a bathroom. Everything was bright white, the exception being her. She was still dressed in the clothes she wore when she left for her run, dark blue sweat pants, a pink tank top, and tennis shoes. Her wrists were bruised from where she tried to free herself and her arms ached from being tied behind her. A part of her was just grateful to be alive, but another part of her feared what was still to come. Who was the man with the deep firm voice she heard?

She looked around the bathroom and realized there was no window, she was too scared to even try the door but it didn’t look like it had a lock on it. There was the same kind of shampoo and soap she used at home by the claw foot tub and the same toothpaste and lotion she used by the sink. She wondered to herself how the man who had taken her knew about her. Had he been watching her? As she continued to look around the bathroom she noticed the note. It was written in a neat square print as she read it she realized that this was just the beginning.

I don’t want to hurt you. I love you and you will love me. Take a bath and get cleaned up. There is a robe and towels in the cabinet. When you are done I will come for you.

She sat there stunned, not knowing what to do next. She didn’t want to face the man who did this to here and she refused to even think about taking off her clothes and taking a bath in this strange place. Surely if he had been watching they would have known that. She curled up in the corner of the bathroom, she was being defiant but she didn’t care. There was no way she would do what the letter asked. He had taken her against her will and she wasn’t going to just take it.
