"Taken" Chapter Four

She tossed and turned for hours before she was able to sleep and when she finally did dreams of her captor flooded her mind. When she woke there was a note on the night stand.
You may go to the bathroom when you wake up to clean up and get ready for the day. Come to the dining room for breakfast when you are ready.
She climbed out of bed and put on the robe she had used before and gathered some clothes. As she walked down the hall she thought about the previous night when she tried to run. Where was she? Why are there no windows or doors to this place? She decided she would ask him when she saw him again. In the bathroom she opted for the shower over the bath, maybe even a cold shower after the night before. Her body had never reacted that way to any man. It was a primal passion that she had never felt before, but definitely new she wanted to feel again. She felt her body betraying her head. She knew that it wasn’t the smart thing but she wanted him again. When she finished her shower she fixed her hair and make-up and got dressed. She wore her sexy black lace panties and bra and slid on her favorite pair of jeans and a snug low cut blouse and she walked down the hall towards the dining room.
He was already sitting at the table when she walked in. There was a plate with some fresh blueberry waffles and a cup of coffee sitting across from him. As she walked to her seat she couldn’t help but admire his body, dressed in a simply t-shirt and blue jeans you couldn’t help but notice his wide muscular shoulders, defined chest, and washboard abs. As she sat down she decided it was best to get down to business first.
“Where am I” she asked.
“A safe place”
“That isn’t what I asked.”
“It’s a temporary home, while we get acquainted. When you are ready we will move to a more permanent home.”
“Why are there no windows?”
“Because all you would see was dirt”
“We are underground?”
“Yes, Now please eat we can discuss this later”
The tone of his voice let her know that the topic was no longer open for discussion, as she ate she wondered where the door was. They had to have gotten down here somehow. She decided not to worry about it for now; she wasn’t interested in doing anything but finishing what he had started the night before.
When she was done eating he rose to take her plate, as he gathered it she noticed the bulge in his pants. She couldn’t help but stare.
“You like what you see?” He asked
She blushed; embarrassed that he had caught her. He continued to gather the dishes and laughed as he walked towards the kitchen. She was still waiting for the redness to fade from her cheeks when he walked back into the room.
“So…You decided not to run huh?”
“Seemed a little pointless and frankly I don’t want to be punished again”
“Hey I told you that you would make it harder on yourself if you ran. Besides that wasn’t really a punishment.”
“If that wasn’t a punishment, I don’t know what is”
“Well did you at least learn your lesson?”
“I guess so”
She didn’t like what this man had done to her in less than a day, He had turned her from the stubborn I’m better off alone type to a wanton woman waiting on his every word. She had never felt this type of need before. Her past relationships had been short sweet and to the point, born out of a physical yearning that had never been emotionally satisfied and always fizzled out. All of her friends were married with families and had gone on with their lives leaving her behind with nothing but a job she hated.
He gestured for her to follow him and lead her to the library, and she quietly followed watching the sensual way he walked and admiring his muscular body. When they entered the room he had a seat on the couch and motioned for her to have a seat as well.
“I want you to be comfortable here, if you need anything let me know. As I’m sure you know I did try to get to know you a bit and brought some things to make this easier for you. Do you have any questions for me?”
“Why am I here”
“Because I love you”
“How do you know that when you don’t even know me?”
“I was first intrigued in you one day when I saw you walking at the park, I started off waiting for the right moment to ask you out, but soon realized that you didn’t really like when people interacted with you. So I decided to just watch and wait for the right time. The longer I watched you the more I fell in love.”
“So let me get this straight, you’ve been stalking me and then you kidnapped me because you didn’t see the right opening to ask me out?”
“It’s more complicated than that, I didn’t want to do it this way but I knew I had no other choice. You shut everyone out; I had to take down some of your barriers.”
“I do not shut everyone out”
“Yes you do, I’ve never even seen you speak to anyone outside of work unless it’s a clerk at a store or someone you have to interact with, I honestly didn’t even think you had any friends until I saw your pictures.”
“That’s none of your business”
“I made it my business when I decided that I wanted you”
He got up from the couch and stormed out of the room, She sat there speechless feeling mad at herself for being upset that she had angered him. Why did she even care? She didn’t need anyone. She had been on her own since she was eighteen and had managed just fine. Tears filled her eyes when she thought of her parents. They had divorced when she was twelve but she had still been close with both of them. About three years later here mom had been lying on the floor in the kitchen when she had returned from school. She called 911 and held her mother weeping until they arrived. She was already gone. She later learned that it was an aneurism, but knowing what caused her mother’s death didn’t make it any easier for her. Her dad had been the only reason she had made it through the pain.
A short two years later everything was looking up; she was fixing to graduate and gotten into her first choice college and was excited about the next chapter in her life. The day of her graduation that had all changed. She had to at the ceremony earlier for rehearsal and to get her locker cleaned out since she had been putting it off for the last week of school. When it finally came time for the ceremony she went looking for dad but he hadn’t made it yet. She figured he was just late but the closer they got to her name the more worried she became. By the time they called her up she accepted her diploma with tears in her eyes upset that her dad had missed her graduation. Afterwards when her friends were telling their parents goodbye and getting ready to hit all the graduation parties she hurriedly gathered her things and jumped in her car to head home to see what was going on with her dad. Her answer was only two blocks away from the school, when she turned at the light she saw the father’s truck crumpled up under a dump truck. She screeched to a stop in her car but the cops wouldn’t even let her near the scene. She remembered yelling that that was her dad over and over again. An older cop walked up looking crushed and told her he was sorry. Her father was gone; they hadn’t even been able to get him out of the truck yet.
Life after that had been almost unbearable; she had her father’s lawyer help her get everything in order and had sold the house and bought a smaller one further away from town. Life after that was just a routine after that work, park, then home with the occasional trip to the market or where ever to get necessities. She hadn’t even gone to college like she had always wanted. She guessed maybe he was right maybe she did shut everyone out.
